Agencies taking your Saturday enquiries?
Lost behind booking platforms
Agencies and directories take the top spots for local searches.
Busy summers, empty winters
Peak Saturdays sell out while midweek and winter dates sit free.
Compared on price alone
Enquiries ask for a quote before they’ve heard what you sound like.
Hard to prove you’re reliable
Clients worry about no-shows, volume and venue rules before they book.
Why it matters
Why local SEO matters for DJs and entertainers
Most entertainment is booked within travelling distance of the event, and people search for exactly what they want: a wedding DJ for their venue, a function band for an evening reception, a magician for a corporate dinner or an entertainer for a sixth birthday. They compare reviews, videos and availability before they get in touch.
Couples and parents now also ask AI assistants questions like “who is a good wedding DJ in Surrey who knows country house venues?”. Those tools rely on consistent business details, genuine reviews and clear descriptions of the events, areas and packages you offer.
We help your act appear for those searches with an optimised Google profile, consistent listings, clear pages for each service and area you cover, and hand-built links from wedding, events and local websites.

Is it worth it?
What is a new booking worth to you?
Enter what a typical new booking is worth to your business — for example the value of the first job or booking, or what they spend with you in a year. We will show how many new bookings a month would cover each plan.
We have started you at £800, a typical figure for DJs & entertainers. Change it to your own.
This is simple maths, not a prediction: results depend on your market, your reviews and how well you convert enquiries. Judge it on calls, bookings and enquiries over three to six months.

SEO for wedding DJs and entertainers: your questions
Can I compete with entertainment agencies and booking platforms?
Yes. Local search favours genuine local businesses with strong reviews, and many couples and parents prefer to book an act directly so they can speak to the person who will perform. We make that personal touch obvious on your Google profile and in AI answers, so couples message you rather than an agency.
I run several DJs or acts across different areas. Which plan do I need?
Multi-op DJ companies and agencies covering one area can usually start on the Growth plan. If you have bases in several towns or regions, the Authority plan includes multi-location strategy, giving each one its own visibility in its own area.
When will wedding enquiries start to come through?
A fuller profile and tidy listings can bring extra party and function enquiries within a few weeks. Ranking higher on the map and being suggested by AI assistants usually takes three to six months, depending on how many DJs and bands cover your area.
Many couples book entertainment a year or more ahead, so visibility built now helps you fill dates in the following seasons.
Winter is quiet for me. Do I have to keep paying all year?
No. There is no fixed term: plans renew monthly, and you can cancel any time before the next billing date. Your Google profile, wedding directory listings and the links we have built stay put.
Which certificates will a wedding venue want to see?
Many venues ask suppliers for proof of public liability insurance and evidence that portable electrical equipment has been safety tested, often as a PAT certificate. Neither is a general legal requirement for every act, but the law does expect electrical equipment used at work to be kept safe, and venues can make these documents a condition of entry.
Keep current copies ready to send, and ask each venue about its sound limiter, finish time and load-in rules well before the day.
Do I need my own music licence to play at a wedding?
Usually the venue holds the licence that covers playing music to guests, often TheMusicLicence from PPL PRS. If you copy music onto a laptop or hard drive for your DJ sets, check with PPL and PRS for Music whether you need a ProDub licence for those copies. If you organise and promote your own event, the licensing responsibility may fall on you.
Should a DJ show prices or ask people to enquire?
Couples and party hosts usually narrow the list by budget first, so a “from” price or a couple of example packages brings in enquiries that fit. Explain what is included, such as hours of performance, set-up, lighting and travel, and how prices change for peak Saturdays, December and midweek dates.
Do children’s entertainers need a DBS check?
Many parents and schools ask for one. Since January 2026, self-employed people in England and Wales have been able to apply for an enhanced check through a DBS umbrella body if their role is eligible, while anyone can get a basic check. Eligibility depends on the work you do, so check before you apply, and only claim the level of check you actually hold.
Apart from search, where do DJs and entertainers find most of their work?
Getting onto a venue’s recommended supplier list can bring in more wedding dates than almost anything else. Be easy to work with, follow house rules on sound and timings, and stay in touch with venue coordinators. Photographers, planners and other suppliers you meet on the day can refer work in both directions.
Short video clips from real events, quick personal replies to enquiries and a clear booking process with a fair deposit all help turn interest into confirmed dates.
Be the act they book first.
